Continúo con mi tradición de comentar los vestidos de los Oscar / Here I am, true to my tradition of commenting the fashion of the Oscars every year.

Lupita Nyong’o

Empiezo con una de mis favoritas y triunfadora, más que esperada y deseada, de la noche.

Fiel a los colores pastel que tan bien le sientan, acudió a la gala con este precioso Prada con gran escote en uve tanto en la parte de delante como en la de atrás.

Simplemente preciosa.

I start with one of my favorites and winner, more than expected and wished, of the night.

True to the pastel colors that look so good on her, she wore a gorgeous Prada gown with big V cleavage on the front and on the back.

Simply outstanding.

Kate Hudson

Continúo con otra de mis favoritas.

Era de esperar que su Versace me encantara si tenemos en cuenta que incluye una capa y yo adoro las capas.

Su vestido con aires de los años veinte, estilo al que recurrió más de una ayer, ha sido de los más aclamados de la noche. Y con razón.

I keep going with my favorites.

If we have in count her dress had a cape and I love capes, it was expected that I would love her Versace gown.

Her dress with a 20s air, style a lot of the guests chose yesterday, has been one of the most acclaimed of the night. And for a good reason.

Olivia Wilde

Empezamos con la zona ‘baby bump’

Olivia Wilde con su Valentino de cuello halter en negro fue de las más elegantes de la noche. Sencilla y recurriendo a la combinación blanco-negro fue muy muy guapa. Aprobada.

Let’s start with the ‘baby bump’ part.

Olivia Wilde with her black Valentino with halterneck was one of the most elegant of the night. Simple and resorting to the black-white combination looked really really pretty. Approved.

Elsa Pataky (y Chris Hemsworth de regalo)

Embarazada no, EMBARAZADÍSIMA, llegó ayer nuestra Elsa a la gala.

Con un Elie Saab turquesa que hubiera lucido mucho más sin ese gran barrigón, claro.

Pero iba muy guapa igualmente. Y tiene mucho mérito ponerse unos taconazos y posar enfrente de todos los fotógrafos cuando estás a punto de parir y lo único que apetece es tumbarse en el sofá con el atuendo más cómodo que encuentres.

(Nota especial para Chris Hemsworth porque me encantó su traje e iba guapísimo ¡Tú sí que sabes Elsa!)

Super pregnant arrived yesterday Elsa Pataky.

With a turquoise Elie Saab that would have looked better without her big baby bump, of course.

But she looked beautiful anyway. And it has a lot of merit putting on a pair of high heels and pose in front of all those photographers when you’re about to give birth and the only thing you want is lay on the sofa with the most comfortable outfit you can find.

(Special note to Chris Hemsworth because I love his suit and he looked really handsome)

Kerry Washington

La tercera embarazada de la noche, Kerry Washington, no me ha decepcionado con su elección.

Si bien no me ha gustado tanto como el Balenciaga en blanco que lució en los Globos de Oro de este año, uno de los mejores de esa noche, su Jason Wu de raso con escote palabra de honor fue muy acertado.

The third pregnant of the night, Kerry Washington, hasn’t disappointed me with her choice.

It didn’t like me as much as the white Balenciaga gown she wore at this year’s Golden Globes, one of the bests of that night, but her Jason Wu satin strapless gown was correct.

Anna Kendrick

Pasemos a uno de los no rotundos/error/¿qué has hecho?

Mi querida Anna Kendrick con la que tanto me rio en Twitter (en serio, seguidla, te partes con sus tweets) me decepcionó muy mucho ayer cuando apareció en la alfombra roja con este J.Mendel en negro con detalles en rojo y cut-out.

Ni la forma del escote, ni la apertura de la pierna, ni siquiera el cut-out me gustó. No Anna. MAL.

Let’s go to one of the DON’Ts/mistake/what have you done?

My beloved Anna Kendrick with whom I laugh so much in Twitter (seriously, follow her, her tweets are hilarious) disappointed me a lot yesterday when she appeared on the red carpet with this black J.Mendel with red details and cut-out.

The shape of the cleavage, the leg opening, not even the cut-out liked me. No Anna. 

WRONG.

Jennifer Lawrence

Vayamos con otra de las que me gustó mucho.

Después del desastre de los Globos de Oro, Jennifer Lawrence volvió a apostar por Dior, esta vez con mucho más acierto. De rojo, palabra de honor y con péplum, su vestido fue de mis favoritos.

Así sí Jen ¡Así sí!

Let’s go now with another one I liked.

After the disaster of the Golden Globes, Jennifer Lawrence chose Dior again, this time with much more success. Red, strapless and with a peplum, her dress was one of my favorites.

You go Jen! You go.

Amy Adams

Otra que me gustó mucho (la verdad es que este año tengo muchas favoritas) fue Amy Adams con su Gucci palabra de honor en azul oscuro. Después de arriesgar, y acertar, en los Globos de Oro, se ha decantado por el ‘menos es más’ y ha vuelto a triunfar.

Another one I really liked (to be honest, this year I have a lot of favorites) was Amy Adams with her strapless Gucci in dark blue. After risking, and succeeding, in the Golden Globes, she opted for the ‘less is more’ and she succeeded again.

María Menounos

Guapísima con este Johanna Johnson en blanco y con gran escote en la espalda. Cabe destacar el recogido trenzado. Me encantó.

Gorgeous in this white backless Johanna Johnson. Worth noting the braided hairstyle. I loved it.

Louise Roe

La estilista fue de las primeras en llegar y escogió un vestido asimétrico en verde de la firma española Pronovias. Muy sencilla y muy acertada.

The stylist was one of the first arrivers and chose an asimetric gown in green by the Spanish house Pronovias. Very simple and correct.

Portia de Rossi

La actriz y mujer de la presentadora Ellen DeGeneres (votación para que presente ella todas las galas a partir de ahora por favor) llegó a la gala con un Naeem Khan que ni me gustó, ni me dejó de gustar.

The actress and wife of the host of the night Ellen DeGeneres (voting for her to host every show from now on) arrived to the event with a Naeem Khan that I don’t know if I liked or not.

Giuliana Rancic

Con un Paolo Sebastian al más puro estilo princesita. Es más de lo mismo, pero gusta.

With a very princess Paolo Sebastian. Is more of the same, but it likes.

Kristen Bell

Tengo un problema, y es que las faldas con ese tipo de decoración en flor no me gustan NADA. Un Roberto Cavalli precioso, sí, pero con otra falda.

I have a problem, I don’t like skirts with that kind of flower decoration. A very beautiful Roberto Cavalli, yes, but with another skirt.

Idina Menzel

Me pareció fatal que no le dieran casi tiempo a su actuación y tuviera que cantar ‘Let It Go’ mal y rápido porque es una canción muy bonita.

Dicho esto, su Vera Wang en verde y con escote corazón fue acertado. No arriesga pero no falla.

I didn’t liked AT ALL that they almost gave no time to her performance and she had to sing ‘Let It Go’ bad and fast because it’s a very beautiful song.

That said, her green Vera Wang with a heart neckline was correct. She doesn’t risk but she doesn’t fail.

Anne Hathaway

Últimamente con Anne Hathaway solo me hago una pregunta ¿POR QUÉ?

El vestido le quedaba bien a la forma de su cuerpo; cuello halter, marcando figura… bien. Pero el detalle metálico me mató. Sobre todo porque cuando salió a entregar uno de los premios casi me deslumbra con el reflejo de los focos.

Eso es cruel Anne.

Lately with Anne Hathaway I only ask myself one thing: WHY?

Her dress went well with the shape of her body; halterneck, hugging her figure… good. But the metallic detail killed me. Mainly because when she went out to give one of the awards the reflect of the spotlights almost blinded me.

That’s cruel Anne.

Naomi Watts

Muy acertada, para variar, con su Calvin Klein en blanco. El año pasado fue mi favorita de toda la gala y este año está entre las que más me gustan.

Very correct, of course, with her white Calvin Klein. Last year she was my favorite of the event and this year she’s one of my most liked.

Calista Flockhart

Me gustó mucho con su Andrew Gn blanco. Otro ejemplo de que la sencillez triunfa.

I liked her a lot with her Andrew Gn in white. Another example that the simplicity wins.

Camila Alves

No he encontrado una foto en la que no saliera con Matthew McConaughey, y aún estoy muy cabreada porque Leo no se haya llevado el Oscar... pero bueno, hablemos de moda.

Me gustó mucho su Gabriela Cadena en tono rosado. ¿Cómo no me iba a gustar si lleva capa?

I haven’t found a single pic in which Matthew McConaughey didn't appear, and I’m still bitter because Leo didn’t win the Oscar… but anyway, let’s talk about fashion.

I liked her pink Gabriela Cadena a lot. How can I not like it if it has a cape?

Emma Watson

Su Vera Wang en negro y gris me gusta pero no me gusta. La parte de arriba sí, pero la falda tiene una forma muy rara.

Mención especial a su maquillaje. Siempre lleva un maquillaje impecable.

I like and not like her grey and black Vera Wang. The top part is nice, but the skirt is weird.

Special mention to her make-up, it always looks gorgeous.

Penélope Cruz

Han criticado mucho el vestido diciendo que parecía que se había liado una sábana al brazo. La verdad es que algo de razón tienen, pero su Giambattista Valli de gasa en rosa pastel no fue, ni de lejos, de los peores. A mí me gustó.

Her gown has been very criticized because it looked like she was wearing a sheet around her arm. To be honest, they are kinda right, but her chiffon Giambattista Valli gown in pastel pink wasn't, by far, the worst. I liked it.

Angelina Jolie (Brangelina)

Otra que se decantó por el estilo de los años 20 con un Elie Saab en tonos grises y pedrería.

No deslumbró como otros años, pero fue muy correcta.

Another one who chose the 20s style with this Elie Saab in grey tones.

She didn’t outstand like other years, but she was very correct.

Sandra Bullock

No sólo me encantó su vestido palabra de honor en azul oscuro, sino que encima es de Alexander McQueen, y ya con eso me termina de ganar.

Buena elección de peinado al echar la melena hacia el lado contrario del drapeado del vestido.

I loved her strapless gown in dark blue. And it’s by Alexander McQueen, which makes me like it even more.

Good hairstyle choice.

Jennifer Garner

Al más puro estilo flapper (ya os he dicho que los años 20 triunfaron anoche), Jennifer Garner acudió a la gala con un Oscar de la Renta con pedrería. Muy correcta.

Flapper style (told you a lot of them went for the 20s), Jennifer Garner chose a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta in light grey.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Su vestido de Reem Acra en nude me gusto muchísimo.

I really liked her Reem Acra in nude.

Kelly Osbourne

Quién me iba a decir a mí que hablaría bien de un vestido de Kelly Osbourne.

Su vestido blanco de Badgley Mischka no estuvo mal.

I never thought I’d say something good about one of Kelly Osbourne’s dresses.

Her white gown by Badgley Mischka wasn’t that bad.

Meryl Streep

Muy clásica y fiel a su estilo, Meryl no falla con su Prabal Gurung en blanco y negro.

Very classic and true to her styles, Meryl doesn’t fail with her Prabal Gurung in black and white.

Julia Roberts

Su vestido de encaje negro y con péplum firmado por Givenchy fue muy aclamado anoche.

Clásica, sencilla y discreta. Aprobada.

Her black lace gown with a peplum by Givenchy was one of the most acclaimed of the night.

Classic, simple and discreet. Approved.

Charlize Theron

A lo mejor me gano muchas críticas por esto, pero su aclamado vestido de Dior no me gustó nada.

Charlize Theron en sí es espectacular, y por eso el vestido parece más de lo que en realidad es.

Lo vi como un vestido negro muy soso y ¡por favor! ¿A quién se le ocurrió la idea de poner esos tirantes?

Que no, que no me gusto nada.

Maybe I earn a lot of critics for this, but I didn’t like her very acclaimed Dior gown.

Charlize Theron is an spectacular woman, and that is why the dress seems more than what it really is.

I saw it as an insipid black dress and, please! Who had the idea of those straps?

No, no, I didn’t like it at all.

Lady Gaga

No sé muy bien qué pintaba Lady Gaga en la gala pero, oye, bienvenida sea.

Haciendo gala de ser imagen de Versace, acudió a la gala con un vestido de la firma y con un aire muy a Donatella.

I don’t know what she was doing there but, hey, welcome.

Taking pride of being the new image of Versace, she went to the event with a dress by the house and resembling a lot to Donatella.
